Before my wife and I purchased our early-1920s home, the inspector pointed out several spots in the basement where... there was old asbestos seam tape on the HVAC ducts. We know asbestos isn't radioactive, and if it's in good condition, the best advice is often to leave it be. But this tape was an obvious hazard—brittle, discolored, flaky, and peeling off the ducts. Ultimately, we decided we couldn't remove it safely ourselves. Enter Rock Emergency, who did a phenomenal job on the project. They were efficient, thorough, and respectful, and they clearly took pride in helping us make our home a safer, cleaner, and healthier space.Having worked with many contractors who take weeks to finish a project, I was especially impressed with Rock Emergency’s promptness. I reached out to them on a Friday, the crew arrived early the following Monday (less than 72 hours later), and the ducts were clean and asbestos-free by the end of that day. Tom was amazingly communicative over the weekend as we planned the project. He analyzed photos I sent him via SMS, explained the removal process in clear detail, and gave us much needed peace of mind about everything. The abatement crew followed every safety guideline and left our basement spotless.Old homes are full of hazards, large and small, left to us by past generations of owners. (Seriously, who thought stuffing asbestos everywhere was a good idea?!) It's really reassuring to know that there are companies like Rock Emergency that take these things seriously and can get your home in order without scare tactics or hype. These guys were amazing! Ryan called me back and came out on a Saturday night, two hours away, to our school to help... get started, and explain everything. The team was wonderful! Chris was a rock star! Came out on the weekends to make sure we stayed on schedule. Derrick made sure the drywall work was done with as little mess as possible, and made sure to clean up at the end of each day. The whole team, I am sorry if I don't remember everyone's name, was very professional, efficient, and we were very lucky that they were the ones who responded when we called. I chose this company because they had so many 5 star reviews on Google and I was not disappointed. They conducted the... work swiftly, handled everything through our insurance company and even though the insurance adjuster gave them a hard time, they calmly proceeded, explained and met with the adjuster to show them why the services they recommended were necessary and they ended up getting the final approval. My husband and I had a botch bathroom remodel that caused some major water damage. Our new contractor found mold and... mildew when he demo'd the shower floor. This halted construction immediately. This company was wonderful!! We had a mold issue in our attic and I called, they came out within 24 hours to check it... out, then with 48 hours were up in the attic. There was a miscommunication of how much of the attic was supposed to be remitated and when we called to find out why all of it was not finished they rushed right out to make it right. These guys were very professional and kind and I honestly felt as if they actually cared, which you do not get a lot of these days with companies. I cannot say enough that this company was wonderful to work with and did a great job!! I would recommend them 100% and the main tech Nick, was just awesome! I would also like to add that I am a stay at home parent and when having work done it is nerve racking to have strangers in your home but I was completely comfortable with them!! Thank you so much!!!
